Even people who have never attended church have heard the name Jesus, but have you ever been formally introduced to him?

Before I truly understood who and what he was, I knew he was the son of God, but I knew nothing of his life and ministry. I didn't understand the pain of his crucifixion and the power in his resurrection.

Well, let’s break down what and who he is in a more intimate way. Jesus is, yes, the son of God, and he was crucified for our sins, but in John 10:9 (KJV) it says, "I am the door: by me if any man enters in, he shall be saved." He is how we get to heaven and find salvation, but He's also A LOT more too.

To understand salvation, you must understand what happened on the cross. In John 3:16 it says, “for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” To receive salvation really is as easy as accepting Christ into your heart.

Now, let me take a moment to be real with you. Salvation is a nice thought, but what can I say to the person who isn’t ready to think of their salvation at the moment. I say, please just keep reading.

Jesus, The Man.

Now that I have the “cut and dried” of Christianity out of the way, let us take a minute to remember the life Jesus had while he was here. We have all heard Jesus accomplished miracles but outside of turning water to wine, do you know any off hand? I know I didn’t before I read my bible.

The ministry of Christ was full of miracles, but how would you feel if I told you that the vast majority for those miracles was healing the sick. You'd probably get mad at me. I know I would of before I understood who He was. I think the conversation of healing in a cancer unit or even hospital can be a sensitive one, but before I open that door, it’s important we acknowledge the elephant in the room.

DOUBT, doubt is something even the most refined Christian faces from time to time. Jesus was the son of God in the shape of man, and he understands us. In Matthew 14 we hear about Jesus’ walking on water, however, let us take a harder look at it.    The boat of his disciples was being violently battered by waves and wind when Jesus walked on water towards them. Peter saw this and asked Jesus "Lord if it’s you, tell me to come to you on the water" to which Jesus responded "come" Peter got off the boat and walked on water too. But when he saw the wind and waves, he was afraid and began to sink. Jesus saved him and said, "oh you of little faith, why do you doubt?”

The question of doubt has always been present even in the face of miracles, but it’s important to remember that even with little faith Peter still walked on water.
